When looking expensive, less is always more.”
As the Fall temperatures start creeping in, now’s the time to focus on getting some key transitional pieces. In contrast to my red and white wrap blouse, I had been looking for a more simple option so I was super happy to find this one in black. As we learned in some of my previous posts, the colours you decide to wear are not limited to season but getting one or two shirts in a neutral colour like black, grey or nude, definitely allows you more versatility outfit wise. It becomes easier to mix and match pieces, which is important because as much as we might want a whole new wardrobe each season, your bank account might not.

I’ve learned that when looking expensive, less is always more. As you can see, I have very minimal jewelry on, choosing to unify the black blouse and white Aldo shoes ($30) with my white and black marble patterned earrings for $7.90 from Forever 21https://www.forever21.com/ca.
What helps to complete an “expensive look” is a statement piece, which can be done through an accessory if you chose to opt for a more simple outfit. I chose to break back out my Juicy Couture purse that I got back in ’08, (on sale no doubt) and topped off the whole look with my favourite cat-eye shades for $13, now $10.00 https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B078JXNX44/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
Yuh girl loves a wrap blouse but what I love more than a wrap blouse, is a wrap blouse on sale! I ended up getting this wrap blouse that was originally $24 for $10 at Urban Planet.
Truthfully, I hadn’t shopped at Urban Planet for many years but this Summer I recently decided to go back to some of the stores that I had stopped shopping it and was pleasantly surprised to find some quality gems. They are currently having a store wide 40% off sale both in stores and online at https://urban-planet.com/!
What are some of the stores you’ve recently rediscovered?
I look forward to hearing from you!
